The McCormack Family

August 2019 Prayer Letter

Same Song , Second Verse

Boys will be boys. I remember hearing this statement while growing up as the universal and widely accepted excuse for many of my less than brilliant ideas. However, I have since learned that being a parent to such boy can be, well, exciting for lack of a better word. From the “battle scars” of learning how to walk, to the infinite number of items that have found their way to his mouth while teething, we have become very good friends with his pediatrician. This past month, we had yet another trip to the doctor, this time the ER doctor, after Landon experienced his first allergic reaction with his airway swelling. All I can say is, I know without a doubt that God was protecting our family. We were less than a mile away not only from a hospital, but a children’s hospital at that, and he was able to quickly receive the help he needed and is already back to being our healthy and energetic toddler. One aspect of deputation that I have absolutely loved is how similar and yet unique ministry can be throughout the states. For instance, whether we are passing out tracks in the busy subway tunnels of the north as people are on their way to and from work or sitting down with a complete stranger to drink an ice cold sweet tea in the south, visitation can look very different, but the goal is still the same, to tell others about Christ. This past month we had the opportunity to go out on visitation with several different churches.During one of these times, after presenting the entire plan of salvation to the woman who answered the door, she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. Same song, second verse. I am so grateful that no matter where we are or what the culture is, we have the privilege of sharing Christ with the World.

Praises

  • We heard from four new supporting churches this month.
  • Safety on the road.

Prayer Requests

  • Healthy delivery for Jacqulyn and Ryan.
