April 2020 Prayer Letter

Unplanned and Unexpected

As the tip of my eraser smudges against the flimsy pages of my pocket calendar, removing yet another meeting from our schedule, the word reverberates through my mind. Unplanned. How could this happen? I had planned to be in ten different Mission’s Conferences and Mission’s Emphasis Sundays.

I had planned to travel hundreds of miles. I had planned to be in five different states just this month. The unplanned and unexpected happened to me, but I am so grateful that my circumstances were not unplanned and unexpected to my God! As Jeremiah 29:11 says,“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

We as a family have claimed this verse during the past several weeks, and what peace it brings to my heart in knowing that all of this was expected by my God.What has been a very unplanned and unique time has also left us with many unexpected opportunities. From the opportunity to take more online Bible classes, to being able to write missions articles for a children’s magazine, to just being able to spend more time home with our families, this unplanned time has certainly brought some unexpected blessings.

We have also been afforded the unique opportunity to be a part of several virtual Mission’s Conferences and services. While definitely a different experience, we have been so encouraged by so many churches’ continued heart for missions, in spite of everything going on in the world around us.

With our upcoming deputation schedule cleared from this pandemic, if you would like us to send you a video of either our presentation or a sermon or if you would like us to join you for an online service, please let us know, and we would be excited for the opportunity!

Your Missionaries to Peru, Mitch, Jacqulyn, Landon, and Ryan McCormack

Praises

  • For the unexpected opportunity to spend more time with our families.
  • For the opportunity to take some online Bible classes during this time.

Prayer Requests

Please be praying with us for more opportunities to present our heart for the people of Peru, even during these unique times.
