The cool November evening ushered us in, and we squeezed into the pew for the first time as a family of five. As the Thanksgiving Praise service began, I mentally started to tick through the many blessings of this year. Then, the words to Psalm 116:1-2 flashed on the screen: “I love the Lord because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.” I added another blessing to the top of my list. My God had heard my voice. I looked to my wife, and our eyes connected and then traveled down together to our tightly bundled little girl who was now sleeping peacefully through the first verse of “The Old Rugged Cross.” Sadie Hope McCormack entered this world on November 1, 2023, at 7 pounds and 9 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Thank you, family and friends, for praying with us for a safe delivery. I know our God heard our voices, and He answered our prayers! Our hearts are bursting with praise for the goodness of our God.
As the Giving Tuesday Campaign, “Planting Hope in San Martin: A Property Purchase Drive,” has officially launched, I would just ask one more time that you be praying with us that God would provide the funds for this second church plant. My God heard my voice. He heard me. And while I stand in awe that the God of the universe would deign to hear my supplications, my heart aches. It aches for the thousands in San Martin who have never called out to the one true God because they do not know Him. Please be praying with us for the San Martin area and that even now, God would begin to work in hearts.
