The line wrapped itself down the building and around the block. Little grandmothers sat patiently on the chairs provided, while children ran up and down the line with their dogs. Eight hundred adults ended up coming through our church doors that Monday afternoon during our last Outreach Event—eight hundred people who were searching for something more in their lives. Each person got to hear a presentation of the Gospel as teenagers from our youth group, as well as several adults from our church, went from person to person in line, sharing a Gospel tract and explaining how this is not just another religion or another set of rules to follow, but rather, it is something real—where they too could know Christ as their Saviour.

The night of Valentine’s Day, we had a huge banquet at the church. A family slipped in just before we started and sat to the side. I hadn’t seen them before, so I introduced myself, gave them my number, and thanked them for coming. Later that night, though, I received one of those calls that no one ever wants to get. The young teenager had gone home with his family that night after the banquet, and he tried to end his own life. The father found his son in time, and they rushed him to the hospital. For nearly a week, we prayed and visited this family in the hospital, unsure if the teenager would survive. But our God did the impossible, and this young man woke up. About a month later, this young man returned to our church for a Youth Group service. He asked to speak with one of our Bible college students after the service, and there he began to share about the great emptiness in his life. He was searching for something different, something real. And that night, he found it. That night, this young person placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour!
