Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice

At five and four, both boys believe themselves to be avid bakers. The emphasis on that sentence should definitely be on the word “believe.” So one afternoon, Landon and Nana decided to make pumpkin spice cookies. I partially listened in from the other room as Landon commentated. Suddenly, and with great enthusiasm, Landon exclaimed, ‘Turbo speed!’ This was quickly followed by the undeniable sound of an electric mixer being turned to full-blast, which was then followed by the sound of my mom gasping in shock. Walking into the kitchen, I was transported into a winter wonderland. Flour danced through the air and covered every imaginable surface in sight. While the cleanup was anything but nice, I couldn’t help but smile at all the Lord has blessed us with this autumn.

As we entered the fall season, El Salvador Baptist Church was able to have their first-ever Marriage Conference. It was heartwarming to see several of the couples who got saved last year and earlier this year attending the conference with eagerness to learn more about growing together in the Lord. There were also, however, several men in attendance who came with their wives, who are unsaved. The Gospel was preached, and God’s Word promises that it will not return void, so I would just ask that you please be praying with me for these men, that they would accept Christ as their personal Savior.

Looking forward to this November, we have two exciting prayer requests that I would like to ask for your help in praying for. The first is that our little girl, Sadie Hope, is due this coming month. After five years of ‘snips, snails, and puppy dog tails,’ we are so excited to also enter the world of “sugar and spice and everything nice.” I would just ask you to please be praying with us for a safe delivery. As November looms, the second specific request we have is for the launch of our Giving Tuesday Campaign, “Planting Hope in San Martin: A Property Purchase Drive.” We believe this second church plant is the next step that God is calling us to take in the ministry, and we believe wholeheartedly that a church in this area can radically impact the San Martin area for Christ. We will be sharing more details about this Giving Tuesday Campaign in the days to come on our Facebook and Instagram pages, Reaching Peru. Please be praying with us that God would use this Giving Tuesday campaign to help purchase the needed property for this church.

Your Missionaries to Peru,
